Unofficial Squaw Valley Newsletter
March 30th 2007
Is it worth the drive? Should I skip work on Monday? UnofficialSquaw.com gives you the answers!
Your Weekend Update
Just when it looked like the
season was ending, we get a nice surprise. A week of 60 degree
temperatures was interrupted on Monday night by a late storm that brought
over 20 inches of dry snow to Squaw. Conditions have been excellent
mid-week. While there isn’t much fresh snow left, warmer temperatures
this weekend will mean a return to Spring skiing.

UnofficialSquaw’s Top
Picks
Silverado, Broken Arrow, and
Emigrant did not open this week. Otherwise, the whole mountain
is open and skiing great. The powder is skied off and temps will
be warmer this weekend, so look for continued Spring skiing.
If temps are warmer in the
afternoon, look to hit the chutes over on Cornice 2 and Enchanted Forest.
The tree chutes on C2 are filled in and looking good, and Adrenaline
Chute has seen action this week. The tree runs off Red Dog are
looking good as well.

Classic Chute – C2

Rusty’s Ridge/East Gully

Granite at open on Tuesday.
Won’t be quite that good this weekend.
What’s Going On
Pretty quiet around Squaw this
weekend.
Winemaker Event at Uncorked,
located in the village (every Friday and Saturday-4:00).
You can always check out the
“Fools Frugal Feast” on Sunday at High Camp if you’re really bored…
