The far skier right of Squaw terrain is the most neglected part of the Snow King hill. This area can be accessed by either the Red Dog or slow Squaw Creek lifts. Snow King has nice hidden powder pockets and nice mellow groomers. Many people opt to ski the more quickly accessed terrain on the hill but faster lifts mean more tacks.
Snow King is home to some great east cost style woods skiing and benefits from the attention of the best groomers at Squaw. The view of Lake Tahoe from just beyond the unloading dock of Squaw Creek is another great thing about Snow King.
