Getting ready for ski season is must and the time to prepare is now. In continuing our discussion of ways to take care of your feet (see bootfitting tips) we bring you this look at a do-it-yourself Boot Dryer.
The set up for this dyer from JiMCi at instructables.com is simple but requires a basic woodworking setup and a few hours of your time.
Here’s JiMCi’s description: “Think of an upside down cabinet drawer combined with a pipe organ. You will need a small fan, a few lengths of pipe (ABS and PVC pipes are easy to cut and drill), some masonite or other similar thin stock and a few pieces of plywood, MDF or particleboard. The end pieces slide in and out to open or close vents as needed. The forced air will quickly dry your boots so they will comfortable when you hit the trails again the next morning.” - Step-by-Step Guide.
Seems like a good Idea to us, if you have the time.
