Squaw Valley is open for the 06/07 ski season!! With colder weather this past week our good friends in the snowmaking department had the opportunity to blast the hill from top to bottom. Mountain Run will be the only run open this weekend, however it is top to bottom with good coverage. If you plan on getting here fist thing grab your GS skis. It’s going to be quite icy until the sun has time to soften the snow - 11:30 or so - After that anything fun will work. The weather this weekend is going to stay cold at night and should warm up into the mid-40s by the early afternoon. Opening weekend always brings out the crowds so plan on some congestion but the hill is OPEN so go get some turns.
