The good news is that the east winds have died down and most of the skiers have gone home - which is nice. However, the skier traffic from this weekend put some strain on the already thin snow pack. All of the groomers are still skiing great with the lower section of Siberia being the most buff. Because of this weekend’s traffic there are now some new bare spots that have formed. Most notable of these is found on the run in to Siberia bowl, which is now peppered with rocks. Granite Chief is spinning today and there are some nice wind pockets scattered throughout the terrain. KT-22 is 90% firm bumps with a handful of good lines here and there. Red Dog and Squaw Creek are skiing nicely but at this time of year don’t plan on seeing much sun.
Think Snow!
See you on the slopes.
