Extreme skier Alison Gannett has been featured many times in TRG films, holds multiple world titles and was the first person to make the descent on the hill she named, Alaska’s Mount Hobbs. Now Allison is fighting what she considers her greatest challenge and a threat to the sport she loves; Global Warming.
In their series called “Agents of Change” the National Geographic writes:
Alison has extended her drive and passion for skiing to the environmental movement through education, building green, leading tours, and a number of other efforts.”
She will be traveling the globe this year with her Global Cooling Tour, sponsored by Clif Bar and Patagonia. She will be skiing with retailers, ski area owners, and consumers demonstrating how to save money while also promoting global cooling. She will also be showing her Global Cooling Tour Ski Adventure Show, showcasing her inspirational international ski movies, while educating people about climate disruption and how to save our snow and planet.
As part of the tour that Alison Gannett will be at Bar One on February 21st as part of her “Global Cooling Tour - Ski Adventure Show” a must see for anyone who cares about Squaw’s future.
