Special Noon Update

February 28th, 2007 · 2 Comments

It was another unbelievable day at Squaw Valley. The snow is really, really Deep out there. True Bottomless. My buddy Mattias dropped Insert 1 in C2 and cleared 60+ feet. His bombed holed was a good 5 feet deep and he didn’t hit anything but soft snow… and there were people going even bigger then that.

Anyway, Lower Mountain is totally open. Headwall, Shirley Lake, and Solitude are open up top. Also the hike up into Broken Arrow is open and the skiing in there is awesome. Though the hill has been skied hard today it is still in great shape. Snow showers have been moving in and out of the valley which is helping to keep everything fresh. Bottom-line, today is one of those days that have an incredible ability to take normal everyday people and turn them into hardcore ski bums.
Tip of the Day: GO HUGE AND SEND IT!

Man, now I got to find all new cliffs to drop because all the ones I was hitting have been buried in snow. Poor me :(
