We are recieving some great feedback on our new feature Scoop but one of its problems is lost stories. See once you submit a story most users don’t see it unless it gets enough votes to be Published on the Scoop Frontpage. We rely on our best users to visit our Scoop Cloud and Upcoming Stories sections to find good stories to vote on but if a story gets overlooked it won’t get the votes it needs to be seen on the frontpage. Basically it’s lost in cyberspace.
To help out occasionally we will post “Hidden Scoop” in the hopes you vote the story out of the Unpublished Story bin.
To start things off here is a lost story that contains local flare and a “only-in-California mixture of romantic fantasy and radical idealism” …ok big words but next time your on HWY-50 wondering WTF you’ll thank us.
