Storm Totals
6200: 2 Feet
8200: 3 Feet
*note: It started snowing a week ago (Monday Jan. 21, 2008) and has not let up much since. 70-80% of the mountain is fresh and skiing great. Official Snowfall Tracker for Squaw has already put us at 250 inches on the season.
My friend’s and fellow skiers have been having an unbelievable week of skiing. A blanket of deep snow has once again transformed the slopes of Squaw Valley. Places like Silverado are filling in very nicely and the new snow has allowed for many of Squaw’s classic lines to be skied for the first time this season.
One of the first barrages 0n the fingers in 2008 kicked off at around 9:15. Some of the more impressive lines were off Ring Finger and the Middle Knuckle. Just missed chairlift video of the event. Sorry, I will try to time my laziness a little better for the next race which could go down as soon as tomorrow.
1-3 more feet of snow are predicted to fall over the next few days.

someone said there was a terrible accident on silverado yesterday. they even said the person died. i don’t really believe it but they did close the run. do you know anything about this?
in other rumors, someone said they closed the summit today because they expected 90mph winds. did that happen?
thanks!
