Freeskier Magazine: Jossi Wells and Sara… Win 48Straight Halfpipe

The 2nd stop of the 48Straight series rolled into Squaw Valley this weekend, under sunny skies and warm temperatures. Although it was the 2nd stop, it was the 1st stop with a halfpipe event, this year adding a women’s discipline to the fold. Also new to the competitors was the new format the event was trying out, which might not have been a huge hit with everyone involved. And as they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Jeep King of the Mountain (48Straight) Skiercross results

As the skiers took to the course at the Jeep King of the Mountain tour Saturday Tahoe locals turned out to see if either Daron Rahlves or Errol Kerr on the men’s side or Anik Demers Wild in the women’s bracket could take home the top prize.

Sadly, it wasn’t to be; however, everyone did get to see some great skiercross racing action, complete with some dramatic last-minute passes and gnarly crashes.
