Skiing Update: February 29, 2008

February 29th, 2008 · No Comments

Skiing was great today with lots of sun and plenty of soft snow. I skied off KT for most the day; dead tree, 75, west face, east face were all bumped up and lots of fun. The snow soften up around 10 am and by the end of the day all south and east facing slopes were overly sun affected . WAX YOUR SKIS!

Helmet Cam Video: Adrenalin Rock Burial

February 29th, 2008 · No Comments

Here is a helmet cam video of skiing Squaw from youtube.com.

On Monday a guy sent it off Adrenalin Rock and got burial in his bomb hole. Youtube use ScottaLucas caught the incident on his helmet cam. As far as we know the skier was OK. The shot clearly shows the depth of the snow so far this season. When it gets deep like this you should make sure you are skiing with a buddy. Shit happens and skiing ant safe. Heads up out there.
